Ricochet Racer
Richochet Racer is a four player racing game in which players compete for the most points by claiming them from score volumes around the track.
It was made in one week during a program wide design challenge in the fall of 2019 with the help of two other designers
Responsibilities
I did the bulk of the coding work creating both the player controller and the game framework.
I also was the one who did the materials and particles including the trail and the environment materials that changed based on score, and the materials on the player marbles.
Takeaways
Ricochet Racer was a great project to practice working with a fluid team.
Throughout our one week development time I was the only consistent worker on Ricochet Racer itself, due to this I needed to make sure all the code architecture I made was readable at a glance so that other developers could quickly figure out how to use my scripts.
